PKR Poker Update – March 28/09

Omaha Hi/Lo
At PKR Poker you can now not only play Omaha but Omaha Hi/Lo; this basically means you can win with a high or a low hand. This kind of split pot game requires a little more thinking and so can be a lot more enjoyable for those wanting more of a mental game.
In split games, each player makes a separate five-card high hand and five-card ace-to-five low hand (where all cards 8 or below qualify), and the pot is split between the high and low. Omaha Hi/Lo is available on Sit n Go’s and also Mixed Table Tournaments, with varying pot limits.
Timebank
A new thing to online poker rooms, PKR Poker is now using a ‘timebank’; this is very easy to understand. If you’ve every thought to yourself ‘I just needed more time to think’ now you can. That important decision can be made with those additions few seconds that you never had before and if there’s one thing that’s true in the game of poker, indecision is worse than wrong decision, now you won’t have that problem.
In cash games, the more hands you are dealt, the more time added to your bank (up to the table maximum).
Mini Roulette
Many other online casinos have had the ‘Mini Roulette’ as a game option and PKR Poker have realised this and understood players’ needs. PKR Poker now has it as an option. So while you’re in an unfortunate slow game of poker (which happens from time to time) you can place a few bets on your lucky number to give you bankroll a nice little bump-up.
Break skips
With many tournaments, even small ones a break can be given, a chance to stretch those legs and compose yourself ready for the next half, however, it’s not always needed or wanted by some players. PKR Poker understands this and have therefore now given players the option to skip these breaks, so when your in the zone and have your poker head on you can carry on winning those hands. These break skips can only happen is all remaining players have chosen the same option and let’s face it, if it’s exciting enough everyone will make the same decision.
